"My passions have taken me around the World to places I felt privileged to have seen. For more than 20 years I devoted my life to climbing hard and remote peaks with small teams. I have travelled to the Sahara, Ladakh and many other remote corners of our planet. As photographer I am devoted to capture the action and breathtaking nature. About ten years ago I was asked for the first time to share my adventures with business leaders and other audiences. Nowadays I work as an inspirational keynote speaker. I share my adventures, failures and successes and translate them to leadership, change management and team success".

Melvin Redeker studied Business Economics. He spent much more time in the mountains than in college. His passion for exploration and adventure led him to the most desolate area's of our planet. Melvin feels equally at home in hostile places like the arid Sahara, the high altitude of the Himalayas and the stormy North Sea.

As early as 14 years of age, Melvin had already been climbing in the mountains. This was obviously long before he went on to successfully organise five Himalayan expeditions. His expeditions pioneered new routes to technical summits. The crowning glory in his climbing career is the conquest of Thalay Sagar, a lump of granite in the Himalayas with vertical walls on all sides. The Dutch team explored a new route to the summit - the 8th ascent of Thalay Sagar ever.

Melvin is co-author of Vertical Vision (Dutch title: OOGHOOGTE), a 200+ page luxurious montain picture book. In Vertical Vision they capture the all-embracing experience that climbing can represent for humankind, from below sea level to the highest of peaks.
